Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what information BLACKNUNITED ("BNU," "we," "us") collects through bnutapin.com and the BNU Tap In devices, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, and phone number when you claim a device or create an account.
- Profile information — anything you choose to add to your public profile, such as a photo, bio, job title, company, neighborhood, links, and additional contact details.
- Order information — items purchased, shipping address, and order status. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.
- Device activity — when a BNU device is tapped or scanned, we log that it happened (which device, when, and whether it was claimed) to run analytics and improve the product.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and public profile.
- To process and fulfill orders, including shipping and order-status communication.
- To operate the tap/scan network — resolving a device to the right profile.
- To send you service-related messages (order confirmations, account activity) and, if you opt in, marketing messages such as promotions or product updates.
- To understand how the site and devices are used, so we can improve them.
Hiring and applications
If you receive a BNU Tap In hiring card, you may choose to tell us you're interested in work, apply for a role, or refer a friend. We collect what you give us: your name, mobile number and email; the roles you're interested in; whether you are 18 or older; whether you have a car; your experience; and any note you add. For a referral we collect your friend's name and phone number as you provide them, so please only share someone's number if they would welcome hearing from us.
We use this information to contact you about work with BLACKNUNITED by call, text or email, and to keep track of the hiring cards we hand out. It is seen only by BLACKNUNITED. It is never shown on your public profile or to other users. You can ask us to delete your application or referral at any time by emailing [email protected].
Your public profile
Anything you add to your BNU profile — your name, photo, bio, links, and any contact details you choose to display — is shown to anyone who taps or scans your device. Don't add anything to your public profile you don't want a stranger to see.
Who we share information with
We don't sell your personal information. We share information with the service providers that make BNU Tap In work, including:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Supabase — our database and account infrastructure.
- Hostinger — website hosting.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of BNU, our users, or the public.
Cookies and analytics
PLACEHOLDER — update once analytics is installed We use browser storage (such as local storage) to keep the site working properly — for example, remembering that you've seen a promotional popup. If Google Analytics and/or Meta Pixel are added, describe them here: what they track, and how a visitor can opt out.
Your choices and rights
- You can review and edit your profile information anytime from My Account.
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.
- You can request that we delete your account and associated data by contacting us at [email protected].
Data retention
We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Children's privacy
BNU Tap In is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
